About Our Division: Transport Mobility Solutions (TMS) brings together transport planners and modellers, highway design and asset specialists, technologists, and aviation and carbon consultants. Responsibilities

• Contribute technically to Mott MacDonald’s Technology Services ITS Engineering and Consultancy team.
• Work on projects in the South East region, potentially seconded to our client in Hampshire with weekly travel; main office location to be discussed at interview stage.
• Design and specify a varied range of ITS projects, delivering technical excellence for clients.
• Supervise and mentor team members, provide support, training, and day-to-day guidance.
• Hold membership in a professional body (e.g., IHE, CIHT, IET). Travel and multi-office work flexibility are beneficial.

Candidate Specification

• Engineering background with design input to ITS projects at any stage.
• Detailed understanding of ITS technologies and developing transport sector trends; able to apply operationally to meet client needs.

Essential

• BEng / BSc in engineering or related subject, or relevant professional experience
• Track record in the design of ITS schemes in the UK
• Good working knowledge of national standards, equipment capabilities, and design specifications
• Chartership with a relevant institution

Desirable

• Experience with Highways England and UK local authorities
• Experience designing major ITS schemes
• Collaborative work experience; project management in ITS projects
• Ability to build relationships and trust with clients and partners
• Excellent communication, initiative, and interpersonal skills
• Sector 8 Accreditation
