Role Requirements

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of Software, DevOps, and Test Engineers delivering cloud-native solutions.
• Drive technical direction, architecture, and tool/framework selection for a large-scale programme.
• Balance leadership with hands-on coding and solution design.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and guide teams through agile delivery processes.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions are delivered to meet customer requirements.

Skills & Experience of a Principal Software Engineer:

• Strong full stack development background with expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and React.
• Solid experience with microservices architecture and modern software practices.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud-native solution design.
• Proven leadership skills, having managed technical teams within complex programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence decisions at all levels.
• Eligible and willing to obtain UK security clearance (must hold a British passport and have lived in the UK for 5+ years).
