We deliver integrated engineering and project management across the project lifecycle and support the energy transition globally.Overview Of RoleWe – the Energy Unit (Nuclear, Defence and Civil division) – are looking to recruit a Principal Safety Case Engineer to join our team. The role covers areas including nuclear power generation, the naval nuclear programme, and decommissioning. This is an opportunity to join a growing team with opportunities for career progression and to contribute to the development of the energy landscape.For this role you will be expected to demonstrate knowledge/experience within one or more of the following areas:Safety Case Production (e.g. SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS)Modification/Design Change Submissions (LC/AC 22)DecommissioningFunctional Safety AssessmentRegulatory InterfaceALARP AssessmentSafety & Risk AssessmentDeterministic Safety AssessmentProbabilistic Safety AssessmentNuclear Safety Legislation, Regulation and PolicyEngineering SubstantiationHAZOP and other identification studiesHAZANCriticalityNuclear FireCandidate SpecificationDegree qualified in a Science, Technology or Engineering disciplineExperience in the nuclear or defence industries (or from other high-hazard industries)Chartered Engineer or working towardsAbility to demonstrate successful delivery of nuclear safety deliverables and strategy on complex projectsWilling to develop and mentor more junior staffIf you meet 80% or more of what we’re looking for, please still apply.
