Great opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to work on a retail platform near Manchester at the beginning of a digital transformation.

You’ll report to the Head of Engineering and work as part of a team of Principal Software Engineers responsible for collaborating with Architects and Product Owners to lead the re-architecture of existing platforms to a cloud-native, event-driven, microservices architecture.

While there is no line management, you’ll have full technical ownership for your product domain, including technology vision, strategy, workload planning, and quality governance of the squads within it.

  • Lead the re-architecture of existing platforms to a cloud-native, event-driven, microservices architecture
  • Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to define and implement technical strategy
  • Own technical outcomes for the product domain, including quality governance and workload planning
