In this deeply technical role, you\'ll have opportunities to develop your professional, digital and project management skills while contributing to the growth of our digital practice.We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in our UK offices.Your PurposeAs a Principal Offshore Structural Engineer in our team, you will coordinate the delivery of our global portfolio of projects through various levels of development (conceptual, FEED and detailed design projects) for major offshore wind farm development or the asset management of those offshore wind farms, together with developing innovative solutions.ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of our global portfolio of projects through conceptual, FEED and detailed design stages for major offshore wind farm development or asset management of those wind farms, developing innovative solutions.Provide effective leadership to a small team of offshore structural engineers and deliver work packages in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards.Design and analyse fixed and floating offshore structures for the growing renewables sector, contributing to climate change mitigation.What You Can BringLead projects or collaborate with the lead engineer to ensure successful completion within budget and timeframe. Execute structural analysis and design of offshore wind structures, including foundations for wind turbine generators, meteorological masts, and substation platforms.Expertise in monopiles, jackets, or floating systems, using integrated techniques such as pile-soil interaction, PISA soil analysis, and time-domain analysis for wind and wave loading.Provide effective leadership for a small team, fostering innovation in a multidisciplinary setting.Ensure design work is performed, reviewed, checked, and approved per engineering procedures or a Project Quality Plan. Chartered engineer with offshore experience focused on Primary or Secondary Steel design for Offshore Wind Turbine Generator Foundations or offshore substations.Experience in Offshore Wind Farm foundation design, familiarity with industry design developments, regulatory standards, and codes. Proficiency with software such as ANSYS, SESAM, SACS and STAAD.Pro.Solid theoretical foundation with practical offshore structural experience, including transportation and installation procedures, manufacturability, and environmental loading.Strong communication skills and adaptability to diverse working environments.
