You’ll take ownership of projects across a wide range of sectors, with the autonomy to make your mark and the support of an experienced peer and wider business.We welcome candidates with a structural or civil bias—if you bring the drive, technical expertise, and leadership skills to deliver, we’d like to hear from you.Responsibilities:Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through to completionWork in tandem with another Principal Structural Engineer to share knowledge and workloadProvide technical leadership, supporting and mentoring junior engineersCarry out full structural designs, calculations, and specifications in line with latest standardsEngage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders both in the office and on siteSupport tender submissions, feasibility studies, and structural surveysEnsure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirementsUse BIM and 3D modelling software to drive efficient project deliveryRequirements:Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering (BEng minimum)5+ years’ experience in structural design across varied sectors and project sizesIncorporated or Chartered with IStructE (or actively working towards)Strong grasp of structural codes, building regs, and British StandardsSkilled communicator with proven stakeholder management experienceConfident with Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk, MicroStationAbility to take ownership of projects and lead a small teamUK Driving Licence and flexibility to attend sites when neededExperience in BIM-led project deliveryContract preparation and project management backgroundExisting (or ability to gain) UK Security ClearanceWhat’s on Offer:Hybrid working – Portsmouth base with flexibilityOpportunity to collaborate closely with another Principal Structural EngineerGenuine long-term progression pathwaysVaried workload including inspections, refurbishments, and new build designIf you’re a Structural Engineer ready to take on a Principal-level role—or a Senior Engineer looking for the step up—this role offers the perfect blend of autonomy, collaboration, and career progression. #J-18808-Ljbffr
