As part of our growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Principal Structural Engineer to be based at our London office. You will join a supportive national team and receive valuable training, guidance and the opportunity for career development.

Your Core Duties Will Include

  • Driving the successful technical delivery of high-quality projects from concept to completion
  • Taking ownership of project outcomes, ensuring they meet commercial goals through proactive project control
  • Playing a key role in securing new opportunities and nurturing strong, lasting client relationships
  • Inspiring other team members to perform at their best, fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused team culture
  • Championing Pick Everard’s reputation across the construction industry and helping to raise our profile
  • Promoting seamless collaboration across disciplines, teams and with clients to ensure unified project success

About You

Our ideal Principal Structural Engineer must have:

  • Exceptional Structural Engineering knowledge with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent verbal communication and the ability to work effectively with clients and design teams
  • Experience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and construction methods
  • Familiarity with structural modelling, analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, STAAD Pro, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360)
  • Ability and willingness to supervise/mentor employees

Desirable qualifications

  • Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE
  • Motivation to undertake CPD and to increase skills and knowledge
  • Experience in day-to-day control of resourcing, programming, planning and costs
  • Effective team management skills
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
