This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Structural Engineer to join our team in Birmingham and play a leading role in the design and project leadership of some of our most exciting and prestigious projects. Local projects such as The Hundred, the Mell Square redevelopment and Three Chamberlain Square illustrate our local portfolio with our active work across the UK and internationally, covering sectors including education, data centres, healthcare and residential.You will be part of a team of expert engineers and technicians, working closely with colleagues across disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects. You will have the opportunity to nurture existing and develop new client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business, and you will use your expertise and determination to manage, motivate and develop less experienced engineers.ResponsibilitiesTake a senior role within a team of engineers and technicians, and work with colleagues from various disciplines to manage the delivery of high-quality projects.Lead design and project leadership on projects in the Birmingham office and across the UK/internationally.Nurture and develop client relationships to maximise satisfaction and secure repeat business.Manage, motivate and develop less experienced engineers and technicians.QualificationsChartered status, preferably with IStructE.Accredited with a BEng/MEng (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering.Significant practical experience of structural engineering within a consultancy environment.Proficiency in structural design software and relevant IT skills.A portfolio demonstrating quality, client-focused work and the ability to manage multiple large-scale projects while leading a team of engineers and technicians.A passion for creative and intuitive design.Job Description & Company CultureWe know that to be the best at what we do we need a diverse workforce underpinned by an inclusive culture.
