Software Engineer – Salary up to £100,000 + benefits – Edinburgh City Centre, HQ

I am currently working with one of the most exciting software opportunities in Edinburgh. The role is with a SaaS company that has just received major investment. You’ll be working in an environment where the CEO and CTO give their full trust to the engineers to scale products with no red tape. The workplace is dynamic, and the ideal candidate is someone who can push excellent code out the door at pace.

You’d join a team of 10 engineers, all Edinburgh-based, who come from some of the best-known engineering firms in the city. They’ve joined this company because they can build what they want, and the development culture is brilliant. The role is a true IC (Individual Contributor) role with no line management or mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a full-stack software engineer in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, implement, and deliver software products
• Work with modern front-end and back-end technologies and contribute to code quality and performance
• Maintain a focus on expedient, reliable delivery while preserving code quality
• Engage with technology stack including React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js or Python, AWS, and an interest in LLMs

Requirements

• Experience as a full-stack engineer with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js or Python, AWS
• Interest in LLMs is advantageous

Interview process

The interview process can be completed within a week. The first interview is designed to set expectations of the role and the product roadmap so you know what you’ll be working on from day one.

Salary: up to £100,000 + benefits
