Key Responsibilities
Manage internal technical projects in line with strategic product development goalsCoordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective project deliveryProvide technical guidance and develop internal engineering capabilitiesReport to the Engineering Manager on all aspects of assigned projects including timelines, quality, deliverables, and costsSupport the preparation of proposals and participate in customer and supplier meetingsCoordinate team members working on specific programmesSupport and participate in product certification and qualification test activitiesPrepare, review, and approve technical documentation including certification applicationsApprove engineering drawings and modifications using CAD (Creo) and data management systemsContribute to the development and implementation of engineering tools and processesIdentify opportunities for and lead continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in design reviews and other technical meetingsEnsure a safe working environment and compliance with all health and safety policiesQualifications and Experience
BSc / BEng / MSc in Mechanical Design Engineering or similarProficiency in 3D CAD (preferably Creo) and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematicsStrong understanding of engineering principles including materials, mechanisms, and electromechanical systemsExtensive experience in the design of electromechanical mechanisms, machines, and actuatorsIn-depth knowledge of BS8888 drawing standards and GD&TStrong understanding of bearings, lubrication, and tight-tolerance designSolid background in gear and actuation system design preferredKnowledge of aerospace manufacturing is advantageousExperience in the design, testing, and certification is idealBenefits
