We are now looking for a Product Design Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As a Product Design Engineer, you will design, develop and deliver innovative temperature-controlled packaging solutions, taking them from concept through to production.

Specifically, you will create CAD models, technical drawings, and specifications, driving innovation in packaging, researching exciting materials to support sustainability, building unique prototypes and bringing incredible concepts to life.

Seeking to test performance and compliance at every stage of development, youll work with our suppliers and manufacturing partners, overcoming production challenges and developing market-ready solutions that meet strict safety and sustainability standards.

Additionally, you will:

- Work closely with engineering, operations and quality teams to troubleshoot design or production challenges - Optimise designs for scalability, quality, and cost-effectiveness - Generate high-quality product visuals, renders, and presentation materials - Create Intelsius branded and customer-specific artworks - Develop and test prototypes to assess design, usability, thermal performance, and regulatory compliance - Offer technical support and guidance to internal teams and customers when required - Prepare accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and related documentation - Review and approve components, packaging artwork, and other technical deliverables

About You

To be considered as a Product Design Engineer, you will need:

- A bachelors degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Packaging Engineering, or a related field - A portfolio demonstrating product design and development experience (preferably in packaging, medical, or industrial products) - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) - Experience with prototyping techniques (3D printing, laser cutting, vacuum forming, etc.) - An understanding of materials selection, particularly sustainable alternatives - Proficiency in vector graphic design software such Adobe Illustrator (or similar) - Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn ideas into practical, manufacturable solutions - Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills - A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to our location)
