OverviewDevelopment Quality Engineer – Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) — Location: Peterlee or Desford/Leicester, UK • Duration: 12 Month Contract – Very Likely To Extend • Travel: Up to 10% • Onsite (mandatory 5 days/week).About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and innovative Development Quality Engineer to join our Development Excellence team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the delivery of key APQP elements, including:Requirements ManagementBoundary DiagramsInterface AnalysisQFD, DFMEA, DVP&RPFMEA and Process Control PlansPartner with design teams to define product architecture and system interfaces.Develop and cascade level-appropriate requirements across product hierarchies.Deliver actionable design/process improvements and validation activities to mitigate risk.Contribute to the concept, design, and analysis of complex components and systems.Collaborate across functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively across varied audiences.What You’ll BringRequired:Minimum 5 years of Design Engineering experience.Minimum 5 years of Supplier Quality Development Engineering experience.Preferred:Strong expertise in APQP tools and methodologies.Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and risk management capabilities.Mechanical aptitude with ability to guide product concept development.Proven leadership in cross-functional project settings.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience leading and executing engineering projects end-to-end.Location: Peterlee or Desford/Leicester, UKWork Type: Onsite (mandatory 5 days/week)Travel: May be required up to 10%ApplyIf you’re passionate about driving quality from the ground up and want to play a key role in future-forward technologies, we’d love to hear from you.Job DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: ContractJob function: Quality Assurance, Engineering, and ManufacturingIndustries: Machinery Manufacturing, Motor Vehicle Manufacturing, and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
