As part of continued organic growth, we are seeking a Product Engineer to join their talented team on a 6-month starter contract, with a strong route to permanent hire and progressive salary growth. This position offers hybrid working (3 days on-site), giving you the ideal blend of hands-on collaboration and flexibility.

- Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring smooth transition from design through production readiness.
- Establish and manage cost calculations for production lines, labour, and material usage while driving efficiency.
- Optimise production processes and test strategies, ensuring robust, scalable manufacturing of complex products.
- Design and enhance jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency on the shop floor.
- Analyse test data to drive process improvements and support high-yield manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the production test team and management to develop and refine manufacturing tools.
- Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing operational performance.
- Support configuration and programming of production units (Serial, USB, Ethernet) within a live production environment.
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or similar.
- 13 years experience in mechanical/product/industrial design, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Confident with CAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic scripting/configuration for production environments.
- Experience in test development, validation, and implementation, ideally for embedded or electronic systems.
- Project management skills to deliver production readiness on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- A passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving within complex production settings.
- 6-month initial contract with a clear pathway to permanent employment
