Advise project and engineering managers on product safety, ensuring standards (DEF STAN 00-55/00-56) are applied. Work with third parties to gather and review safety case evidence. Develop safety arguments and documentation using methods such as FHA, STPA, FMEA, and FTA. Apply ALARP principles to all work. Line manage and support other safety practitioners.
What we’re looking for
Experience with safety engineering processes, tools, and assurance principles. Strong technical background (engineers from other disciplines with safety knowledge also considered). Good communication skills and stakeholder management experience (desirable). Work on cutting-edge combat systems and sensor technologies in both in-build and in-service environments.
