Lighthouse Events are a full-service, creative technical production company, currently going through an exciting period of growth and expansion. We have recently moved into a new warehouse, invested in new equipment across the board and are recruiting to develop our in-house projects team in all disciplines.

Job Description

This role will be a hybrid of office, warehouse, and on-site work. We have a varied client base, so any candidate will be required to adapt to different working environments.

Candidates will be expected to manage equipment and ensure it is accurately prepped and ready to go daily. While working onsite, candidates will work alongside other engineers and crew in the setting up, operation and de-rigging of equipment. Dependent on a candidate’s experience levels and the complexity of event they may be expected to operate events either alone, or with support of our team of experienced engineers.

Currently a small company, we are going through a very exciting period of growth. This means we will need you to be able to work proactively, both within the team and independently at times, and willing to support all aspects of the company workload, that may, at times, fall outside your normal duties. The job will require manual handling with heavy lifting as well as customer facing activities, so strong interpersonal skills and a hardworking ethos are a must. Due to the nature of the industry, the ideal candidate will be passionate about live events, and be willing to work evenings, weekends, and long days with appropriate notice.

This role is applicable for overtime at an enhanced hourly rate, with the option to buy back time, with approval, if preferred.

Roles And Responsibilities

•Onsite project delivery, either individually, or as part of a team of engineers, for a wide range of live events

•Project Management of small projects

•Assisting the wider projects team with larger projects in both a technical and operational capacity

•Covering warehouse and office duties when not on site, including but not limited to;

oPrepping equipment to go out on site, and de-prepping equipment on return

oMaintaining, fault-finding and repairing technical equipment in our stockholding

oEnsuring equipment is appropriately stored and organised in the warehouse

oProduction of design, patch and power plans

oDeliveries and collections

•Significant knowledge and experience with either Lighting, Sound or Video

•Good basic electrical knowledge

•Comfortable working at height

•Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting

•Team player with an ability to work as part of a team and individually

•Proactive and self-motivated

•Proven ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines

•Customer Service experience with a desire to exceed expectations

•Full UK Driving License
