Production Engineer Location: Hailsham, East Sussex Full-Time Permanent and Contract (3-6 months) A fantastic opportunity for a degree educated Mechanical Engineer is on offer in the East Sussex area for a talented Production Engineer. With at least five years’ experience as a Product Engineer and an interest in science, this role offers career progression opportunities with our innovative company. Primary Objectives The main purpose of this role will be: * Assist in the NPI process and to help oversee our manufacturing processes * Carry out root cause analysis and maintain the 8D/RMA system * Ensure best practice and health and safety codes are followed * Identify problems in the production line, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and completing various administrative tasks The main requirements as our Production Engineer accountabilities are: * Leading and carrying out 8D/RMA activities while maintaining the 8D/RMA process within Engineering * Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities * Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards * Monitoring the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner * Diagnosing problems in the production line, providing recommendations and training to eliminate any issues * Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labour co...
