Production Engineer

* HNC or degree qualified in an Engineering discipline with 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry- Mechanical based but Electrical knowledge essential.* Solid understanding of a wide range of component manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, casting, etc)* Ability to understand geometric tolerancing for machined components and fabrication.* Familiarity with complex assemblies.* Experience, and the willingness to have a hands-on approach* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical assemblies and electrical layouts.* 3+ years’ experience of 3D Solid Modelling design software (SolidWorks is mandatory) and preferably 2D AutoCAD/Draftsight.* Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM. - Experience of MRP systems for stock control.* Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel.* Good understanding Engineering Change and parts release system* Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles/5S.* Experience in quality engineering.* Familiar with Microsoft Powerpoint.* Be a team player, comfortable working in a small team and building strong professional relationships.* Have the ability to organise and take responsibility for their own work.* Have a proactive approach to work and be good at problem solving and suggesting new ideas.* Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.* Be flexible and keen to assist in a variety of ways on a variety of projects.* Be confident and have a “Can Do” attitude.* A multi-tasker and a finisher.* We provide compensation and benefits programs intended to attract, motivate, reward, and retain an incredibly talented, globally diverse workforce at all levels within our organization.
