Production Engineer,

providing engineering support and technical leadership to production, problem solving on machine and process problems, and working closely with maintenance and process engineers to optimise and improve performance. Key skills Ideally educated to degree level in

mechanical or chemical

engineering Some post graduate experience as a production engineer, machine optimisation engineer, manufacturing engineer, maintenance engineer or continuous improvement engineer ideally in a

web processing/web handling manufacturing environment

(paper, tissue, fabric, foil, film, coating, plating, lamination) and knowledge of principles such as machine speeds, tensions and temperatures. Experienced in machine based manufacturing processes, accustomed to diagnosing machine and process based issues, happy to work closely with maintenance to resolve equipment based problems IT and data literate and able to use engineering software to gather and analyse data (OEE, SPC) Sound
