Project Engineer - Building Services (Mechanical)

Our client, an established, award-winning multidisciplinary engineering practice with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability, is seeking a Project Engineer - Building Services (Mechanical) to join their experienced MEP team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management of small to medium-scale projects and individual engineering tasks for various client schemes across multiple sectors.
The Project Engineer will:
Manage project delivery and engineering tasks for multiple schemes across sectors.
Develop, finalise, and review mechanical building services designs, including HVAC, domestic services, foul drainage, and building management systems.
Conduct site surveys, inspections, and design calculations using both hand methods and software modelling.
Prepare technical specifications, reports, and drawings with a high level of accuracy.
Proactively identify and resolve project risks and issues, representing the company confidently at meetings.
Support and collaborate with junior engineers and contribute to client relationship growth and your own professional development.
The Project Engineer will have:
Minimum 5 years post-graduate, hands-on mechanical building services design experience within a consultancy environment.
Demonstrable experience in supporting customer projects through to completion either at a consultancy or contractor.
Degree or Master’s in building services or architectural engineering.
Proficient in MS Office, Autodesk Revit MEP, NBS, EDSL Tas and/or IES VE.
Strong initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
