The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards while fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities

Client Liaisons: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear communication through regular updates, meetings, and proactive issue resolution.
Health and Safety Compliance: Lead on health and safety, conducting site audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a safety-first culture.
Building Construction in Manufacturing: Oversee civil engineering aspects of construction projects within manufacturing facilities, including site preparation, structural works, and integration with operational processes.
Collaborate with site supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
Monitor progress, produce reports, and drive continuous improvement to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Demonstrable experience in civil engineering, preferably within industrial or manufacturing construction projects.
Previous experience as a tradesperson ("on the tools") or site supervisor, looking to progress into project engineering.
Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) – mandatory.
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – highly desirable.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, RAMS preparation, and client relationship management.
Experience in building construction within industrial or manufacturing settings.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Candidates in their early 30s to late 40s, with relevant experience and ambition, are encouraged to apply (focus on career stage).
Desirable Skills
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent).
Additional health and safety or civil engineering certifications.
Local knowledge of the Widnes, Warrington, Runcorn, Liverpool, or Wirral areas.
What We Offer
Competitive salary of up to £50,000, based on experience.
Career progression opportunities within a respected, long-established company.
Comprehensive benefits package, including pension, health cover, and support for professional development.
A collaborative and supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.
