Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer who is keen to transition to a client-side position with a focus on delivering impactful projects. This organization is looking for a Project Engineer to join their Infrastructure Operations team, taking charge of a diverse array of capital projects that shape how residents and visitors engage with the city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in implementing extensive CAPEX programs.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering documentation to ensure designs are functional, compliant, and effective.
  • Conduct site inspections and manage quality assurance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with contractors and stakeholders to quickly resolve issues and sustain project progress.
  • Operate within NEC contract frameworks while adhering to CDM regulations.

Requirements

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is essential.
  • Solid experience in civil or structural projects from either a client-side or contractor-side perspective.
  • Experience in analyzing and providing insights on design work rather than direct design delivery.
  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to work in both office and field settings, with potential night shifts as required.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, revenue-focused environment where effective delivery and practicality are key.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with regulated transport projects such as TfL.
  • Familiarity with NEC contract standards.
  • Relevant safety certifications (SMSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH).
  • Demonstrable Chartered Engineer status.
