Overview

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-established design, engineering, and environment consultancy, on a contract basis. For this role, you will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client's office, located near Manchester, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of water treatment projects, including the United Utilities AMP8 projects.

Salary: £40-£45 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the project from conception through to completion.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure objectives, timelines and budgets are met.
• Monitor design progress, engineering activities, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Assist in developing and reviewing project plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Engage with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain communication and alignment throughout the delivery process.
• Support the identification and resolution of engineering and design-related issues.

What we are looking for

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in the use of software tools such as SCADA, PLC, and Telementry.
• Proven experience in delivering complex engineering projects within the water treatment sector.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant professional certifications or working towards chartered status (e.g., ICE, IMechE, CIOB) would be advantageous.
