Job Description:
As a Project Engineer within our fabrication team, you’ll work closely with Project Managers to plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of major fabrication projects. You’ll take the lead on technical specifications, ensure the availability of materials and tools, and play a key role in maintaining schedules and budgets.
This is your opportunity to be involved in complex and high-profile structural engineering projects from start to finish, using your technical expertise and project management insight to drive progress and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed project plans, including resource and budget allocation
* Provide technical oversight and resolve fabrication challenges
* Review and refine engineering drawings and specifications
* Coordinate with teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment
* Monitor project progress and financials, and report performance
* Proactively identify risks and implement corrective measures
* Document project outcomes and lead final project reviews
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in engineering, structural engineering, or shipbuilding
* Strong knowledge of project management principles
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Proficient in MS Office and project planning tools (MS Project)
* HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Commercially aware and solutions-driven
