Job OverviewAs a Senior Project Engineer at Story Contracting you will report to the Senior Project Manager. You will provide dependable and competent technical management and advice to support the project teams. You will have significant experience of Permanent Way track renewals and projects from early development through to commissioning and contract close out across multiple disciplines within the civils and rail environment working for a diverse range of clients.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety implementation and managementManagement of a team through design, development and deliveryIntegration of the site team with all other disciplinesReporting is communicated effectively, internally and externallyOwn programmes throughout project lifecycle, working closely with Construction Managers, Site Managers and PlannersManage risks and opportunities collaboratively with whole project teamContribute to accurate Cost and Value Reconciliation (CVR) monthly process for all projectsIdentify and achieve opportunities through Risk and Opps register managementImplement a robust change management process on all projectsImplement and manage procurement schedule, productivity tracker and monitor outputsSupport and manage materials, resources and plant to ensure adherence to contract programmeEnsure engineering compliance and strive for engineering excellenceAct as delegated CRE (Construction) with a path to full sign-off; undertake TWC/TWS duties with supportUndertake TWC / TWS dutiesEnsure quality processes are implemented, managed and adhered to throughout the worksIdentify and realise Value Engineering opportunities through design and developmentEnsure early development and production of project handback files to ensure submission within 4 weeks of project completionCarry out all aspects of on-site engineering, from design checks, take offs, setting out and quality control throughout project lifecycleWrite and prepare site paperwork including Construction Phase Plan / Works Package Plans / Method Statements / Task Briefings / Risk Assessments / Site PermitsAttending pre-start and contract meetingsManagement of sub-contractors (programme and compliance)Involved in delivery of multiple sites at any one time (where appropriate)QualificationsAre you an enthusiastic team player? Can you deliver exceptional results on a range of projects?
