Project Engineer Location: Alfreton Job Type : Full time, 40 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive This is a fantastic development opportunity that requires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and develop into this diverse role. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from initial scope to installation and management of sub-contract site activities. This is a hybrid role requiring the Project Engineer to divide their time between the main office and sites predominately in the midlands. There may be times when an overnight stay may be required. Key Responsibilities: Acting as key point of contact for our customers. Capturing customer requirements for projects and scheduling site visits to review the technical requirements. Once the project requirements have been captured and agreed you will be required to fully scope the project including identifying external contract services required and providing a cost for the project. During the project process you will be responsible for ensuring the design, manufacture & delivery of products are managed in accordance with project specifications and timeframes. Creation of risk assessments and method statements to cover site activities required during the duration of the project. Briefing of these documents to customers and the project teams. Liaison with the Project team to ensure resources are available for the project dates. Daily site management of site operatives and contractors on site as required. Escalation of any issues with the delivery of the project to the Project Manager. In collaboration with the Finance team managing project costs. Responsible for customer sign off on completed projects. Key Skills: Engineering knowledge and a qualification reflecting this Ability to read technical drawings Good IT skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Project Must hold a valid driving licence Willingness to travel throughout the UK and lodge away (occasionally) Ability to work methodically and quickly but also flexible to meet customer expectations Excellent time management skills and exceptional work ethic Experience of Working at Height and confined spaces Teamwork skills and ability to work independently Willingness to train and continuously develop skills Advantageous key skills (not essential): CAD experience Knowledge of Welding practices CSCS card First Aid You may also have experience in the following: Project management, Project planning, Change Management, Data Analysis, Regulatory compliance, Lean construction, Project coordination, Quality control, Mechanical Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Production Engineer, Manufacturing, Engineering Manager, Engineering Planner, Engineering Scheduler, Operational Teams, Engineering Design Manager, Mechanical and Electrical Design Manager, Principal Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, etc REF-223 295
