Predominantly office-based | Occasional travel Were recruiting on behalf of a successful engineering business based in Rochdale who are expanding across all departments and seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team. Supplying process plants, systems and equipment to a global customer base, they deliver bespoke engineered solutions and are enjoying strong sales, a full order book, and consistent year-on-year pay increases. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of complex engineering projects from cradle to grave. The Role As a Project Engineer, youll oversee projects from order through to customer handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, on spec, and to the highest quality standards: Managing projects from initial kick-off through to installation and handover Acting as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle Liaising closely with customers, suppliers, sales, design, production, installation, and procurement teams Reviewing designs to ensure they meet project specifications and requirements eading project kick-off meetings and coordinating internal resources Managing project schedules and ensuring delivery to agreed timelines Signing off material procurement for projects Organising shipping, logistics, and documentation Coordinating and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) Overseeing smooth handover and close-out of projects
The Person Were looking for someone with: Proven experience in a Project Engineer or similar project delivery role (ideally within machinery, process systems, or capital equipment) Strong organisational and coordination skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
