Project Engineer Malmesbury, Wiltshire £35,000 - £42,000 Per Annum We at Jackie Kerr Recruitment are excited to be recruiting a Project Engineer for a specialist manufacturing company, who have been established for over 70 years! Project Engineer Roles and Responsibilities: * Define detailed engineering requirements for projects and spare parts requests * Ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget * Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the engineering phase of the project * Verify that designs meet contractual obligations and technical performance standards by conducting initial drawing reviews * Manage project schedules, monitor lead times across departments and suppliers, and proactively address potential delays * Coordinate the preparation of supporting documentation, including drawings, manuals, and packing lists * Organize and lead project review meetings, including taking minutes, issuing actions, and tracking follow-up * Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms and provide procurement information to the purchasing department * Issue orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the SAP/ERP manufacturing system * Coordinate with internal departments and external partners, including Design, Production, Suppliers, Stores, Despatch, and Freight Forwarders * Conduct final quality checks on all project materials prior to packing and shipment * Oversee and support the packing and dispatch processes * Review and respond to technical reports received from site activities * Log and distribute site reports, including photographs and related documentation * Analyse project costs and spending in comparison to budgeted figures * Document any project changes, modifications, or continuous improvement initiatives * Track outstanding project tasks and manage them through to resolution * Collaborate with the Costing department to evaluate and validate project margins * Prepare and issue project handover certificates upon completion * Provide remote technical support for warranty and post-sales service issues Project Engineer Ideal Candidate: * Previous experience issuing orders with BOMs on SAP/ ERP Manufacturing system * Previously worked as a Project Manager or in a similar role * Worked in an engineering/manufacturing environment (desirable) * Excellent communication skills * Project management skills Project Engineer Working Hours / Benefits: * Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 17:00, Friday – 08:00 – 16:00 * 24/7 Health and Finance Support (Bupa Employee Assistance Programme) * Pension scheme * Cycle to work scheme * 30 days’ holiday including Bank Holidays Jackie Kerr Recruitment is an independent agency that has been established for 28 years.
