Project Engineer The Role This position would be ideal for design engineers who are looking to take a step into project management for the fire sprinkler industry. You must be confident in using AutoCAD 2D software as well as hydraulic calculation software, a long with an understanding of small-scale projects. Project Engineer Main Responsibilities Managing minor installations, system modifications, and remedial works Reviewing and producing technical drawings and specifications Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams Attending site visits, client meetings, and handovers Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations Preparing risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation Supporting junior engineers and contributing to continuous improvement Project Engineer The Candidate 3+ years experience in fire protection, building services, or similar Familiarity with BSEN 12845, BS9251, NFPA, or FM Global standards Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., FHC) Revit experience is a bonus but not essential Strong communication and organisational skills A proactive, customer-focused approach Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously Must be able to do UK wide travel and overnight stays
