Quality Assurance Engineer (Playwright / Automation)
Remote, or based in the North of England
Salary circa £55k + Bonus + Benefits Package
Role:
Reporting into Leadership, this role will play a significant role in helping a product focused, B2B organisation building new, robust automation frameworks from the ground up, as well as driving best practices in QA, and helping the cultural shift to QA automation, across both technical and non-technical team members.

What you'll do:
- Architect and implement end-to-end test automation using Playwright
- Build a scalable automation framework from scratch, supported and backed by C-level
- Lead the shift from manual to automated testing
- Train and mentor team members on modern QA tools and techniques
- Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and product teams to ensure quality is embedded from the start
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and shape a shift-left QA strategy
- Explore emerging tools like AI-driven testing to drive continuous improvement
What you'll bring:
- A proven track record of designing and scaling automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of web technologies and REST APIs
- Experience in Agile delivery and DevOps practices
- Great communication skills and a passion for quality and coaching
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with tools like JIRA, GitHub Actions or Jenkins

Location: can be remote based, with expensed travel, or office based if commutable.
