Sitting within our Product Development team, we are looking to hire a QA Automation Engineer, who will be working in an agile, multi-disciplined team with the core focus on quality assurance of our proprietary travel products and platforms. Contributing to the overall development and delivery process, the QA Automation Engineer writes and performs automated and manual tests, ensuring created software is fit for purpose and achieves quality assurance standards. Playing a pivotal role within the team, the QA Automation Engineer actively employs best practices, driving high standards of software testing and supporting documentation.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Design, write and maintain clean, high-quality automated scripts that test product functionality and performance.
- Help guide the experienced QA team on their journey from manual testing toward automation, providing coaching and mentoring where necessary.
- Help define an automated test strategy adhering to accepted best practices and QA methodology.
- Execute all levels of testing as required, including integration, system, acceptance, exploratory and regression.
- Detect and triage software defects and inconsistencies, managing defects through to resolution.
- Conduct smoke tests on releases into the production environment.
- Substantial hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and tools like: Playwright, Selenium, Webdriver, Cucumber, TestNG, and Rest Assured. We use Playwright.
- Strong coding ability in Javascript/Typescript.
- Understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with .NET technologies such as: C#, VB, ASP.NET.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Five years or more software testing experience within an agile development team.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
- Good understanding of the Business Travel industry, including working knowledge of one of the GDSs (Travelport).
