New role - QA Engineer - Firmware and Systems Integration testing

Our partner is a forward thinking technology company specialising in cutting- edge cloud based solutions. They provide an end-to-end service that delivers 3D reality capture data gained from sensors such as LiDAR, imaging, GPS, INS of entire cities all over the world.

They are seeking a QA engineer to join their Sensor & Data team with a strong background in Firmware testing and with an understanding of Hardware and integrated systems testing that include LiDAR, Imaging and GNSS. You'll be responsible for ensuring their systems are reliable and perform flawlessly under real-world conditions.

Some of what you will do!

• Design, develop and execute test cases and frameworks.
• Test components designed to be part of capture systems for performance, reliability, scalability and security.
• Collaborate closely with developers to integrate testing through the development process
• Analyze test results, identity bugs and areas for improvement and drive issues to resolution.
• Maintain and evolve testing documentation and best practices.
• Produce and maintain user documentation.

What you need to have!

• Experience with firmware testing and/or willingness to support firmware testing
• Proven experience in testing tools and frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Comfortable with setting up hardware sensor systems.
• Driving license and willingness to commute to Musselburgh

Nice to Have: 

• Proficient in at least one scripting/programming language (eg. Python, NodeJS,
  Bash)
• Knowledge of MQTT protocol

For this role you will be based in the Edinburgh area for travel to office. Please note travel to office will be on weekly basis.
