Job Description

Your Role: QA Engineer

 

The Commercial Technology team develop and maintain the products that drive the commercial revenues at Global for both the Radio and Outdoor parts of the business.  

 

In this role, you will test the software to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability meet the highest standards. You will contribute to comprehensive end-to-end testing across the front-end (React.js) and back-end (Java). You will automate test scripts for regression and performance testing.

As a QA Engineer at Global, You will: 

 

Key Responsibilities 

·       Design, implement, and manage automated test cases for web applications and APIs

·       Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing across applications. Automate UI e2e scripts in Playwright (Javascript) and backend e2e scripts in Java RestAssured

·       Identify, document, and monitor bugs and performance issues, working closely with developers to resolve them

·       Collaborate the platform team and integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines

·       Promote and implement best practices for QA methodologies, tools, and processes within an agile environment

What Success Looks Like 

In your first few months, you'll have: 

·       Contributed towards the delivery of several features which provide business value

·       Contributed towards creating and maintaining automated scripts

·       Gained a proven understanding of the business context and how it relates to the team's deliverables

 

What You'll Need 

·       Extensive commercial experience in software testing using Java, Playwright (JavaScript)

·       Strong knowledge of end-to-end testing methodologies for web applications

·       Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as REST Assured

·       Familiarity with REST API testing using tools like Postman. Experience of Graphql will be a bonus

·       Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail

·       An appetite for learning and a drive to continually improve

·       Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote/hybrid team environment
