ortis Recruitment are working with a market leading engineering company based in Basingstoke to find a Quality engineer (QC) to join their team. The quality engineer will have experience in programming and operating CMMs, you will also be writing and proving out programmes. We are looking for quality engineers with experience in precision machined components that are produced to a high tolerance. As such candidates with experience in the aerospace, automotive or medical device industries would be at an advantage.
The successful candidate will have experience with Solidworks and an understanding of 3D printing. You will also have experience working within the ISO framework or other industry specific quality standards.
Role Responsibilities

Proficient in programming / operating / managing CMMs
-
Responsible for producing/interpreting and analysing CMM results

Ability to use hand tools
-
Carrying out investigations into non-conformance
-
Design tooling and fixturing as required for new and existing products

Creating CAD models and drawings
-
Reverse engineering of CMM fixtures when required
The quality engineer position will be working an alternating shift of 0600 -1400 & 1400
2200 so you must be able to work this shift pattern. This is initially a 6 month temporary contract.
