Quality Engineer Cambridge Full Time Permanent Role Salary depending on experience Job Purpose This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Cambridge area for a Quality Engineer, to support and drive the business in improving quality standards and efficiency, by promoting continuous improvement activities to facilitate delivery of high-quality product and services to our customers. Key Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer Support production in meeting delivery and quality targets Support MRB (material review board) meetings NCR (Non-Conformance report) management Facilitate NCR investigations for production and engineering Perform RCCA (Root cause and corrective actions) activities using tools like 8D and 5Y Actioning customer returns and putting corrective actions in place Carry out concession activities Ensure equipment is calibrated and logged throughout the business Support the business with continuous improvement Fully comply with Company Policies including Health and Safety at all times Management of Quality Team Oversight of the audit schedule Management of the BMS and the ownership of the associated procedures Point of contact for external audits KPI's Adherence to Audit Schedule Closing out of NCRs within agreed timelines including response to customer NCR's External RFT > 98% Internal RFT > 95 - 98% Requirements Relevant education and/or experience Proficient IT capabilities and competent user of standard packages Knowledge of ERP systems desirable ISO based quality system knowledge desirable Highly organised and process-oriented, with a logical and pragmatic approach Work accurately, with good attention to detail Persistence and determination to overcome obstacles and resolve problems Comfortable working to time constraints Excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and listening Aptitude for building productive working relationships in a variety of situations Capacity to learn new information, processes and/or systems and apply them appropriately Self-motivated and confident Manufacturing industry experience desirable What are the Benefits for You?
