OverviewQuality Engineer – CannockLocation: CannockContract: Temp ongoingRate: £18.19 p/hHours: 37 per week (Monday-Thursday 8:00–16:30, Friday 8:00–13:00)My client, a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team on a continued ongoing contract basis.ResponsibilitiesTo look at a process and document it in the form of a procedure.Control of Internal Production Quality (component/build quality issues).Provide problem solving techniques to product related quality issues.Internal, Customer and Supplier 8D generation and investigation (root cause, corrective and preventative actions).Customer/Supplier liaison and monitoring relating to product and system quality aspects.Perform Internal Audits.Conduct IMDS Updates.Involvement with new projects – FMEA, Control plans.Process and Machine capability analysis, Gauge R&R.Assist with Lean and Quality projects.NPI and Management of change.QualificationsISO9001/14001/TS 16949 auditing experience.Microsoft Office – Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Email.PPAP Process.Ability to read Engineering Drawings and Material Specifications.Ability to use various measuring equipment.8D understanding.Generation of Reports and KPI graphs.Self-motivated with the ability to set and meet personal targets and adapt to changing workloads and deadlines.Interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to customer service.Negotiation skills, logical thinking and problem-solving ability.Good planning and organisational skills with attention to detail.Background within a medium/high volume manufacturing/engineering environment.Six Sigma Tools (understanding).What the role involvesInternal and external quality management activities to support product and process quality.Support NPI and change management processes.Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.Winsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
