Thrive Oldham are recruiting a Quality Engineer to join a well established company in the Oldham area. PURPOSE OF JOB Act as a service and provider of quality issues to whichever department requires it and assists the business on areas for improvement and be responsible for quality of products. You'll also interface with internal and external customers and suppliers on quality issues. RESPONSIBILITIES The Quality Engineer will produce well presented, and accurate information both to our clients and within the business ensuring procedures and specifications are followed and agreed timescales are met. Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO 3834). Conduct inspections and quality checks at all stages of fabrication, assembly, welding, machining, and final product delivery. Develop and review quality plans (e.g., Inspection Test Plans - ITPs, WPS/PQRs) in line with customer and regulatory requirements. Perform root cause analysis for product or process non-conformances and lead corrective and preventive action efforts (CAPA).
