Our client has been established for more than 70 years and are internationally renowned leaders in the development and manufacture of precision stamping and pressing applications for an impressive range of clients throughout the world and are now seeking to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer to complement their professional Quality Division.

\n

Reporting to the Quality Manager, based near Dudley and working in an ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001 and IATF16949 accredited environment, the successful Quality Engineer candidate will be tasked with leading all aspects of the Quality Engineering function (both internal and external) and taking responsibility for APQP, resolution of internal concerns, customer complaint management and supplier quality.

Core duties for this varied and challenging Quality Engineer role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment will include (but not be limited to):

\n

\n Supporting internal manufacturing with QC tools, techniques, documentation, training and expertise and ensuring adherence to internal, third party and customer Quality standards.

\n

Batch release process.

\n

Leading the APQP / PPAP process.

\n

Auditing suppliers for compliance based on the needs of the business and developing improvement plans with suppliers.

\n

Reviewing and improving new and existing suppliers in line with company procedures and requirements

\n

Management and approval of supplier PPAP and supplier changes.

\n

Reviewing supplier non-conformances and working with suppliers to close out issues (8D, 5 Why)

\n

Liaising with customers regarding supply of defective material

\n

Undertaking all aspects of Customer concern / complaint management.

\n

Leading improvement / corrective action processes in response to customer concerns.

\n

Reviewing customer non-conformances and work with customers to close out issues (8D, 5 Why)

\n

Maintaining and developing constructive relationships with internal and external customers, Quality and Supply Chain Managers, PVV Metrology Engineers and manufacturing teams as well as suppliers and the engineering divisions.

\n

\n

To be considered for this exceptional Quality Engineer opportunity it is envisaged the successful candidate will be qualified to HND level or above in a relevant manufacturing or engineering discipline and a Chartered Institute member. Experience of IATF16949 is essential for the position with IATF16949 auditing experience and ISO13485 experience proving distinctly advantageous.

You will demonstrate high volume batch manufacturing experience along with the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time, with excellent communication skills at all levels and solid problem-solving skills and 8D root cause analysis experience gained in a similarly dynamic manufacturing environment.
