Role: Quality Engineer - Aerospace Location: Barnoldswick Salary: £45K DOE An ambitious, fast-scaling player in the aerospace, space, and defense sector is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its UK-based production team focused on structural airframe components. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and play a key role in maintaining and improving product and process quality. You’ll interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold the highest standards in compliance and performance. Key Responsibilities Prepare First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). Lead and support RCCA and NCR processes address non-conforming product issues with robust corrective actions. Communicate effectively with both suppliers and customers regarding quality-related concerns. Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and quality procedures. Review and manage customer and regulatory specifications. Manage and maintain the internal calibration system. Perform scheduled internal audits and support external audits. Contribute to KPI reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within the aerospace industry Certified AS9100 internal auditor. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 QMS requirements. Exceptional communication and analytical problem-solving skills. Proficiency with standard IT tools and documentation systems. Self-driven, proactive, and values-led individual.
