OverviewOur client works on a ground-breaking project, for which we are seeking a talented Quantum Computing Engineer on a fully remote basis. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge quantum computing systems, algorithms, and applications. The successful candidate will work on both theoretical and practical aspects of quantum computing, from algorithm design to hardware implementation.Role & ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement quantum algorithms for solving complex computational problemsDevelop quantum software using frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLaneOptimize quantum circuits for specific hardware architectures and noise characteristicsCollaborate on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing researchBuild and maintain quantum computing software infrastructure and toolchainsInterface with quantum hardware systems including superconducting, trapped ion, and photonic platformsDevelop classical-quantum hybrid algorithms and applicationsPerform quantum system characterization and benchmarkingWork closely with cross-functional teams including physicists, software engineers, and product managersPresent research findings at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journalsDesired Education, Skills & ExperienceMasters or PhD in Physics, Computer Science or Mathematics, or related field with focus on quantum computingHands-on experience in quantum computing research or developmentStrong mathematical background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theoryBackground in experimental quantum physics or quantum device fabricationFamiliarity with quantum error correction and noise mitigation techniquesStrong publication record (particularly in quantum computing or related fields)Proficiency in quantum programming languages and frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#, etc.)Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum algorithmsExperience of creating QNLP models for text analysis and semantic understandingExperience with classical programming languages (Python, C++, Julia)Knowledge of quantum hardware platforms and their characteristicsExperience with quantum machine learning or quantum optimizationKnowledge of quantum networking and quantum cryptographyFamiliarity with high-performance computing and parallel programmingExperience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket, etc.)Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills in English, both written and spokenAbout this roleFully remote, GMT time-zoneSalary depending on experienceComprehensive insuranceRetirement savings planProfessional development budget for conferences and trainingAccess to state-of-the-art quantum computing resourcesPlease, apply with your detailed CV in English+ cover letter + examples of Quantum Computing Projets or research contributions.*JobMatchingPartner Limited is a recruitment agency licenced in Malta, EU with licence no EA00340-2024.
