The Opportunity:

We’re supporting the search for a Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing engineering function, focused on delivering robust and cost-effective reliability assurance across complex systems. This is a great opportunity to work on major programmes where your engineering judgement and pragmatic approach will directly contribute to programme success.

You’ll take ownership of the reliability case, using a variety of tools and methodologies to deliver progressive assurance through the lifecycle – all while balancing time, cost, and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on technical role within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Planning and delivering reliability case reports
• Conducting reliability analyses (e.g. FMECA, prediction methods including FIDES)
• Applying sound engineering judgement to support assurance throughout development
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across complex system programmes
• Supporting internally funded R&D projects and mentoring early-career engineers
• Contributing to international projects and long-term engineering excellence

What we’re looking for:

• Strong understanding of complex electronic systems and associated reliability issues
• Experience in producing reliability documentation and assurance plans
• Familiarity with FMECA, reliability predictions, and modern methodologies like FIDES
• A solid grasp of system engineering processes and how they relate to reliability
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Degree-qualified or equivalent experience preferred
