ResponsibilitiesTaking ownership of the processes and performing product safety case, FHA, DFMEA, FTA, PSSA, PRA, CMA, ZSA regarding battery systems and powertrain for aerospace applicationsDeveloping the product safety cases based on aerospace regulation requirementsDeveloping the product maintainability and level of repair analysesActing as the main point of contact and interface with customers to develop and demonstrate applicable safety and reliability cases at system level integrating with the aircraftAssisting with the creation and implementation of the process of product developed to ARP 4754 ensuring specific reliability, safety and maintainability requirements are generated and flowed down in development projects; with a specific focus around ARP 4761 for safety analysisDetermining safety goals and DAL for the systemsGeneration of documentation and supporting items to a standard to satisfy functional safety audit and assessment for EASA & CAA part 21 J & GWorking closely with the Software and Control Hardware Teams to ensure best practice is followed and product meets defined safety goals.QualificationsDegree level qualification or equivalentPrevious proven experience in a functional safety and systems process in an aerospace environmentExperienced with requirement tracking systems (CodeBeamer, JIRA and Confluence)Experienced in the use of FHA, DFMEA toolsConfident and able to articulate complex issues in a succinct manorAbility to quickly pick up new tasks and understand issues, find solutions, and implementAbility to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCreative problem-solving abilities with an analytical approach to implementationSelf-motivated with the determination to succeedA flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environmentUK driving license and be willing to support occasional travel.DesirableGood knowledge of aircraft systemsIn-depth knowledge of electric motors, controllers, or similar applicationsPrevious experience with Certification Specifications and/or Special ConditionsAn understanding of DO254 and DO178CEvolito's mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world.
