This an outstanding opportunity to join a team who are the forefront of new technologies, supporting the fight for a more sustainable future.The graduate programme is structured around placements in working departments where you will be integrated into different teams and learn through experiencing the day-to-day activities. As part of this role, you will be required to complete three 8-month long placements based in our UK offices in Keele, Sheffield and Glasgow.How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Evaluation and design of components used in our wind turbine Electrical Drivetrain systems and products, including their requirements and characteristics
  • Evaluation and design of potential solutions for controlling the wind turbine Electrical Drivetrain, including controlling the generator and grid
  • Research into new and emerging technologies.
  • Validation of components/equipment in laboratory/wind turbines.
  • Creation of system models and utilisation of them to perform simulations.
  • Software design, implementation and test
  • What You Bring
  • You will have completed, or you will be working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • A passion for renewable energy and genuine enthusiasm, interest and ability in research and development
  • Good foundation knowledge in one or more of the core technologies that are used in the Electrical Drivetrain in our wind turbine products
  • Ability to grasp new concepts.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with colleagues
  • Willingness to travel and work on wind turbines sites and with R&D collaborators. You will also be happy to work at our three sites across the UK: Keele, Glasgow and Sheffield. You will be expected to attend the office on a weekly basis under our hybrid working policy.
