RF Systems Test Engineer Cambridge | £50,000£65,000 + benefits | On-site most of the time Still want to be solving new problems every week, not just repeating the same test plans? This company designs complex RF systems for mission-critical defence and security applications. The products are sophisticated, the testing is demanding, and the work is varied. One week youll be calibrating systems in the lab, the next youll be in a chamber running EMC, vibration or shock tests, and after that you might be in the field validating how the kit performs in the real world. Its hands-on work

youll need to be based locally and happy to be in the lab or test chambers most of the time. But theres freedom here too. The test team dont just run scripts; they build their own proprietary tools, shape how testing is done, and are encouraged to find better ways of working. The business has doubled in size and revenue in the last three years. With new investment and the backing of a global parent, benefits are improving (12% pension, bonuses, stock schemes). The engineering team will double again in the next three years, so theres clear scope to step into a more senior role if you want that responsibility. If you dont, youll still get the variety and growth that comes from new projects and new products. What youll need: Solid RF testing background (telecoms, defence, or similar) Experience with antenna theory, EMC compliance, and certification/qualification Hands-on with RF test equipment Embedded Linux exposure or scripting (Python/C++) would be useful, but not essential Interested? If youd like a role where you can tackle new RF challenges every week, have the freedom to shape how testing is done, and grow with a business thats scaling fast, hit
