Safety and Environment Engineer

Sole British Nationals Only. Carbon60 is seeking a talented and experienced Safety and Environment Engineer to join their client based in Portsmouth. As a Safety and Environment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the company's safety and environmental management plans, as well as supporting the delivery of technical files and Declarations of Conformity. This position is a 6 month contract offering both PAYE and Umbrella rates. Rates are dependant on experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Safety and Environment Engineer:
- Develop and maintain Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMP) and Safety and Environmental Cases (SECR) in accordance with UK MOD Safety and Environmental processes - Chair internal and external Project Safety and Environmental Committee meetings - Support the development of products to meet the requirements of EU Directives, including the delivery of technical files and Declarations of Conformity - Undertake and facilitate required Safety and Environmental analysis - Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to project and product teams, acting as the focal point for all project Safety, Environmental, and Product Regulatory compliance matters
