Vanrath has partnered with a world market leader in mechanical engineering, offering products across tools, engineering, fasteners, and services.

This technical sales role is remote, with frequent travel covering Ireland and Scotland.

Extensive training will be provided in the UK (3-6 months) and Germany (4-6 weeks). Training is flexible and not full-time away.

Salary: £50,000 plus fixed guaranteed commission for 2 years (minimum £7,500), company vehicle, and uncapped commission. Benefits include pension, equipment, and additional holiday bonuses.

Year 1 and Year 2 minimum salaries are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Acquire new customers in targeted markets (Power Generation, Defence, etc.)
• Develop existing client relationships and identify new opportunities
• Market presence and customer needs assessment
• Provide bolting solutions at customer sites
• Collaborate with UK sales manager for territory planning

The Ideal Candidate:

• 4-10 years of successful industrial sales experience, preferably OEM
• Educational background in mechanical engineering (apprenticeship, HND, or degree)
• Strong communication and customer development skills
• Ability to work remotely and visit customer sites regularly
• Quick relationship building skills
• Technical knowledge retention and learning ability
• Research skills and new business development
• Willingness to learn and grow
