Technical Sales Representative - Cutting Tools
Territory: Scotland (Home-Based) Salary: £51,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus Car Options: Company Car (including EV options) or Allowance
Join a leading cutting tool supplier and drive solution-led sales into Scotland's thriving Oil & Gas and general engineering sectors.
We are seeking a highly driven, technically credible Technical Sales Representative to take ownership of a key territory - covering Scotland - with a focus on developing new business and building long-term partnerships in the cutting tools market.
What You'll Be Doing:
60% New Business Development - actively identifying and winning new accounts across the Oil & Gas and general engineering sectors.
40% Account Management - nurturing and growing existing customer relationships.
Providing technical advice and solution-based selling of high-performance cutting tools and related tooling systems.
Working closely with applications engineers and technical teams to deliver the right solution to each customer.
Home-based role with regular travel across Scotland to customer sites.
Who We're Looking For:
✅ Proven technical sales experience within the cutting tool industry - carbide tooling, indexable inserts, drills, milling tools, etc. ✅ Confident in solution-led sales - understanding customer needs and specifying appropriate tooling solutions. ✅ Strong understanding of machining processes in oil & gas, general engineering, or similar sectors. ✅ Motivated self-starter, confident working remotely and independently. ✅ Based in Scotland, with full UK driving licence.
