Infrastructure Engineer
to lead the design, deployment, and support of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center operations, cloud migration (particularly Azure), virtualization technologies, and infrastructure architecture using the TOGAF model. This role involves both strategic planning and hands-on implementation, with a focus on stability, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities Architect, deploy, and maintain infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure). Lead and support BAU operations, ensuring high availability and performance of systems. Design and implement virtualization solutions using Hyper-V and VMware clusters. Manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS) and backup/DR solutions (Veeam, Veritas, CommVault). Administer core services including Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, SCOM, IIS, and SQL Server. Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet), switches (Cisco Catalyst, Juniper), and load balancers (KEMP, Citrix NetScaler). Provide mentorship and documentation to support knowledge transfer and team development. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess infrastructure needs and deliver tailored solutions. Monitor systems using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, and SCOM. Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across all systems. Essential Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2003-2016), Linux/Unix (Ubuntu/Redhat). Proven experience with cloud technologies (Azure IAAS, ASR, Office 365). Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage, and backup technologies. Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs). Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools. Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash). Familiarity with telecom systems (Cisco VOIP, PBX, Mitel). Strong documentation and communication skills. Desirable Qualifications TOGAF certification or equivalent architectural framework experience. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Architect. VMware Certified Professional (VCP). ITIL Foundation or higher. Experience with MDM solutions (Intune, AirWatch). Personal Attributes Analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
