Section Engineer – CivilsHome » Civil » Section Engineer – CivilsSalary: £40 to £45kLocation: LondonRegion: LondonWe have an exciting opportunity to work on a Civil Engineering project for a Main Contractor based in the midlands.The project is valued over £50m with the civil infrastructure package valued c£10mThe successful candidate will have a proven track record of working on large civils schemes, major projects background, either within heavy civils, tunnelling, earthworks, highways or rail infrastructure.Responsibilitiesact as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives within your area of responsibility.develop safe systems of work, method statements and quality documentation; ITPs, QRPs and the like.produce, monitor and control budgets for sections of work scope.ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specificationsoversee the selection and requisition of materialsmanage, monitor and interpret the contract design documentsliaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the projectattending regular progress meetings to inform the wider teamcarry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force, junior site engineers and the work of any subcontractors in area of responsibilityplan the work and efficiently organise the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlinesoversee quality control and health and safety matters on siteprepare reports as requiredresolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may ariseRequired Qualifications / ExpertiseMEng/BEng/Foundation Degree/BTEC/ Degree in Civil EngineeringCSCSAbout the Company/ProjectThe client is a well known privately owned Building & Civil Engineering Contractor, established for over 50 years.
