Overview
Oculus Technology Solutions is seeking a Security Engineer to join its IT function in a fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape. This is a hybrid, permanent full-time role based in Edinburgh (other Scotland locations considered). You will be part of a team that supports cloud-first strategies, proactive threat detection, and the security of a multi-site operation.
You will support the design and delivery of enterprise security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, driving threat detection, policy development, cross-functional collaboration, and team enablement in a dynamic, forward-thinking tech landscape.
Responsibilities
- You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Drive threat detection, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Enable and empower the security team to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Work within a cloud-first framework and contribute to secure digital transformation initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of network, server, and storage technologies
- Proven experience with Azure and M365 security tools
- Strong grasp of vulnerability management and remediation strategies
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Azure Security)
- A curious mindset and a passion for solving complex problems
