Senior Analytics Engineer

Central London (1 day per week in office)

Up to £80,000

A high-growth, tech-led scale-up shaking up the insurance space, now building flexible, usage-based insurance products for modern businesses, with data at the core of every decision. Backed by strong investment and their own UK insurance license, they’re scaling fast and investing heavily in their data function.


The Role

Sitting within a newly-formed Analytics Engineering function, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end ownership, from designing clean dbt models to working closely with business stakeholders. You'll help shape the way data is modelled, documented, and served across the business, working with a modern stack and high-impact teams.


Key responsibilities in the role

  • Build and maintain robust dbt models within the Snowflake data warehouse
  • Design scalable solutions that translate business questions into reliable datasets
  • Collaborate with teams across product, ops, marketing, and finance
  • Improve data quality, documentation, and platform reliability
  • Integrate data from key third-party sources
  • Support self-serve analytics through Looker


What They’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an analytics engineering role (or similar)
  • Strong experience with SQL, dbt, and Snowflake
  • Someone just as confident building models as they are shaping best practices
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and proactive about making things better
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in insurance or fintech, but not essential
